In answer to the Question!

It all started roughly 29 years ago on some farm pond in the Midwest. I was hooked, literally. Ever since that day the outdoors has been a very large part of my life.

College was an afterthought. When it came time to choose where I was going to get my "education" the fishing and hunting possibilities were the deciding factor. I did manage to keep Mom and Dad happy enough to pay the tuition while logging some incredible days on the water and in the fields (if only l could have somehow kept it going).

I have gained a lot of knowledge as a guide, but the most relevant thing I have learned is that most of the quality gear being made today is so expensive you need a mortgage broker to finance it. Not to mention it usually lasts only a few good years before it's time to trash.
